Dublin Syndicate Claims €5.7 Million Irish Lotto Jackpot
Members of an Irish Lotto syndicate from Dublin have expressed their delight after coming forward to collect a jackpot of €5.7 million. They told National Lottery officials that matching all six main numbers on Wednesday 3rd October had brought them joy beyond words.

The winning numbers for the draw were 1, 15, 22, 27, 31 and 34, and an appeal went out straight away for everyone who had played at the Spar Express store on Rathfarnham Road in Dublin 14 to check their tickets.
It turned out the winning ticket belonged to a small group of players, who decided to keep their news secret for two weeks before finally visiting lottery HQ yesterday to claim their prize. They opted to stay anonymous rather than disclose their names, but were happy to reveal just how much the win meant to them.
“Words cannot describe how good this feels,” said the head of the syndicate. “I’ve been playing the Lotto since the start and I only won once – when I matched five numbers about 20 years ago and won £700 pounds (Irish Punts).
“I’m delighted that we won as a syndicate and we will always have this win and our experience today as a memory together and the money will be a great boost to us all.”
Syndicate Success
The thrill of sharing such great memories with others is just one of the benefits of playing in a syndicate. It is a great way to boost your chances of winning without having to splash out on multiple entries yourself, as you are splitting the cost of playing between everyone in the group.
A number of big prizes have been snapped up by syndicates recently, including the Co Cork players who won the €8.3 million jackpot on 4th August and the Waterford winners who landed the special €1 million prize in the EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle on 3rd August.
The Dublin win earlier this month marked the tenth time this year that the Irish Lotto jackpot has been given away, with more than €50 million now paid out to winners of the top prize in 2018.
The jackpot for the next draw on Saturday will be worth €3.5 million, while EuroMillions is up to €49 million. You can play via any authorised retailer in Ireland or you can go to the Tickets page to find out how to take part online. Good luck!
