Irish Lotto Player Down To Her Last €90 Before Big Win
A woman from Kildare has revealed that she had just €90 left in her bank account when she discovered that she had won more than €400,000 on Irish Lotto. Having faced the tricky prospect of trying to juggle her finances over Christmas, the lucky lady can instead look forward to having an incredible festive season with her family.

The winner, a full-time carer originally from Co. Cork, matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball in the draw on Wednesday 2nd November to net €400,504, and has wasted little time in coming forward. She has decided to remain anonymous, and has so far only told one friend about the ‘flabbergasting’ news.
“I had only €90 in in my bank account when I went to do my weekly grocery shopping on Saturday,” she told National Lottery officials. “Before I started my shopping, I had my Lotto ticket checked at the desk and the girl behind the counter gave me a cheeky wink and told me to contact the National Lottery about my winning ticket.”
Commenting on what the win would mean for her, the woman added: “With Christmas just around the corner, I can give everybody the Christmas that they deserve and not have to worry about the money.”
There were more big winners in last night’s Irish Lotto draw, although the jackpot again proved to be out of reach and has now been rolling over since two players split €4.5 million on Saturday 1st October. You can check out all the latest Irish Lotto Results to find out all the recent winning numbers and see if you have landed a prize.
Saturday’s jackpot will be worth €8 million, the highest top prize since a participant won €11.1 million on 20th August, and tickets can be bought now from authorised retailers in Ireland or by playing online. Good luck!
