The latest winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, held one of two tickets that matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in the last Irish Lotto draw of April. The other winning ticket was purchased in Ballyconnell, Co Cavan and was claimed within a week of the draw by a family from the area.
If you always play Irish Lotto through retailers, make sure that you sign your ticket, keep it somewhere safe, and check it as soon as possible after the draw. You can use the Irish Lotto Ticket Checker to see if you have won a prize in recent games. Winnings of €100 or less can be redeemed from any lottery retailer in the country, with some select retailers able to pay out prizes worth up to €2,500. If you’re lucky enough to win €15,000 or more, you’ll need to plan a visit to the National Lottery offices in Dublin!
All tickets for Irish Lottery games, including Irish Lotto, EuroMillions and Daily Million, are valid for 90 days after the relevant draw. If no one comes forward to claim a prize after this period has passed, the money is then “used exclusively to promote the National Lottery with the core objective of raising funds for good causes," according to lottery officials.
Irish Lotto returns this evening with a jackpot worth an estimated €2.5 million. Tickets can be purchased online or by visiting authorised retailers across the Republic. Good luck!
