The Lotto Plus Raffle takes place alongside every Wednesday and Saturday Lotto draw. If you add Lotto Plus to your ticket you will see a four-digit raffle code printed on it. If you match that code with the one selected in the draw, you win.
There’s usually a €500 prize on offer to everyone who matches the raffle code; as it’s only four digits there are multiple winners in each raffle. In the special event due to take place on 30th May, an additional €1 million will be added to the raffle prize pool and will be split equally between all players who opt in to Lotto Plus and match the winning raffle codes.
The prize per player will depend on how many winners there are. The most recent million-euro raffle took place on Saturday 14th March 2020, and in that draw there were 90 winners. Each of them took home just over €11,611, consisting of the usual €500 for winning the raffle, plus an extra €11,111 thanks to the extra million added to the prize pool.
How to Enter the €1 Million Lotto Plus Raffle
To get your entry in for the special edition of the Lotto Plus Raffle, all you need to do is purchase a Lotto entry for the draw on Saturday 30th May and add Lotto Plus to your ticket. You will then be entered into the main Lotto draw, the Lotto Plus Raffle, and both of the Lotto Plus draws, giving you several chances to win on the night.
The winning numbers and raffle code from all of these draws will be added to the Lotto Results page immediately after the draw has concluded, so you can check your ticket to find out if you’ve won.
If you are one of the lucky winners, you have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim your prize. The coronavirus lockdown has caused a lot of disruption over the last couple of months but you can still claim prizes at this time. Prizes below €15,000 can be claimed as normal from lottery retailers or An Post offices, depending on the amount, while all prizes of €15,000 and above must be claimed from the National Lottery’s Dublin offices. Claims are by appointment only - see the How to Claim page for further details.
